S.A.P. Boxes

Our Sensory Accessory Product  (S.A.P.) boxes offer another way for you to connect to nature from home, office, or school. Each S.A.P. box contains carefully selected items that are changed seasonally to help assist you in making the connection to nature. Items in the S.A.P. Boxes were either responsibly harvested from locations around Vermont or sourced from Vermont businesses.

S.A.P. boxes are perfect for those who are not able (or do not want) to travel to a natural area. Examples include those living in areas with limited access to natural areas, schools looking to introduce children to the wonders of nature, or lovers of Vermont who live elsewhere.

The packets can be modified to accommodate allergies. All packets are made from recycled materials. The box can be used without a guide or to enhance an experience with a guide. You can buy one box or a seasonal subscription. Our seasonal subscriptions contain three S.A.P. boxes that are sent every three months. Subscriptions renew automatically for one year.

How do S.A.P. boxes work?

Prior to opening the S.A.P. box, participants will want to listen a guided meditation that can be found on the Wild Mountain Turtle YouTube channel. After completing the meditation, you will read the “invitation” or guide on your S.A.P. box. Then open your S.A.P. box and let your curiosity take over.

How much time do you need for a S.A.P. box?

Each guided meditation is approximately 15 min long. Once the meditation is completed, a S.A.P. box invitation can take as long as your curiosity allows. Some may prefer to set a timer for 15-30 min for each box to prevent losing track of time.

What do I do with the S.A.P. box when I am done?

S.A.P. Boxes can be refilled or recycled. You can refill a S.A.P. box by finding items in nature that “speak” to you. Please be mindful of responsible harvesting/foraging practices. Or you can recycle your box like paper.

Land Acknowledgement

I want to acknowledge the land we will be experiencing belongs to Abenaki tribes. This land's historical significance as a site of sustenance, community, and exchange among Indigenous peoples since time immemorial is crucial. The Abenaki have and continue to nurture these forests, lands, and waters.

We honor their spiritual and lived connections to this region, while recognizing the hardships they have endured, both past and present. Let us not only acknowledge their history but also actively engage in initiatives that empower Indigenous voices.
